Chief Operating Officer
Suzan Knese has 25 years of experience in operations, talent management, HR and business management. This year, Suzan celebrated 13 years with OBP, where she serves as chief operating officer.
Suzan oversees operations focusing on profitability, operational efficiencies, resource management, creative and media deliverables. As an agency partner and member of the executive team, Suzan is a key contributor in helping shape agency strategy, talent integration and organizational design across the organization. Suzan is charged with tying intellectual capital to business growth.
Before joining OBP, Suzan served as the VP/director of human resources at D'Arcy Advertising for 10 years. Throughout her career, she has been instrumental in leading integration through four mergers and acquisitions for public and private companies.
Suzan serves on the board for the 4A’s human resources and training and development committee and is a board member of both Memory Care Home Solutions and the St. Louis chapter of the National Multiple Sclerosis. She is an active volunteer with Catholic Charities and the St. Vincent DePaul Society, and serves as a trustee for her parish, Ss. Peter and Paul Church in Waterloo, Illinois. Suzan is active with the National Agri-Marketing Association, serves as a national judge for the FFA and is a member of MAGNET.
Suzan’s undergraduate degree is from Southeast Missouri State University, where she was awarded a 2017 Alumni Merit. Suzan also has a master’s degree from Webster University in St. Louis.
Suzan is married to Mark Knese, and they have three children; Hannah, Katie and Joey.
When are you happiest? What are you doing?
Traveling, learning, laughing, spending time with family and friends. At the end of the day, happiness is a good meal shared with the people I love.
Is there a particular moment during your time at OBP that stands out as a specific highlight?
We have been in a constant phase of evolution for years now. We continue to surprise the clients and the industry, and it has been an amazing opportunity for the agency and our teams.
