OBP Hits a Home Run at 2023 Golden ARC Awards

Batter up! In partnership with Bayer Crop Science, OBP received the Golden ARC de Excellence Award for the DEKALB® brand Field of Dreams event at this year’s annual Agricultural Relations Council (ARC) awards ceremony. ARC awards this top honor to only one winner. The DEKALB Field of Dreams event took place in conjunction with the 2022 Major League Baseball game held at the “Field of Dreams” site in Dyersville, Iowa. The work connected the performance of the DEKALB brand with the all-American game of baseball and one of the most iconic baseball movies, “Field of Dreams.”

OBP also won the Golden ARC de Excellence Award in 2021 for a virtual media engagement event for the Bayer Crop Science Deltapine® cotton seed brand.

In addition, Bayer Crop Science and OBP received Golden ARC awards in the Print Media Relations category for their work on the “North Carolina Grower Story Pitch” and in the Unique Tactics and Execution category for the Deltapine “Special Texas Report.” 

USB and OBP were honored with Golden ARC awards for the “USB Sustainability Op-Ed Campaign” in the Editorial Op-Ed category and for “The Missouri Soybean Mural Wall” in the Graphic Elements category. 

OBP, along with its client partner, Kinze, received a Merit Award in the Special Events category for the “Oldest Running Cart Contest.” GSI and OBP were honored with a Merit Award in the Feature Writing category for the “GSI Grain System Customer Articles” series. OBP and the United Soybean Board received a Merit Award in the “Print Media Relations: Agricultural Audiences” category.

Agencies and organizations submitted more than 60 entries. Members of a chapter of the Public Relations Society of America judged the entries to determine the winners. The full list of 2023 Golden ARC Award winners can be found here.
